Makita DC40RA Charger Important features Compact fast charger specially developed for XGT 40 V Max Li-ion batteries. With the optional ADP10 charging adapter, the charger is also suitable for quickly charging LXT 14.4 V and 18 V batteries. The machines, batteries and charger of the XGT platform are equipped with electronics as standard, allowing them to communicate with each other. The charger provides the most optimized charge to the battery depending on the status of the battery. The charger is also equipped with two fans: one to forcefully cool the battery and one to cool the charging circuit. By combining these techniques, high temperatures in the battery and charger are prevented, which extends the life of the battery and significantly accelerates the charging process. Result: an optimal charging system. The XGT 40 V Max Li-ion batteries with a capacity of 2.5 and 4.0 Ah are fully charged in 28 and 45 minutes respectively.
